Can I download the app to my private smartphone?
Yes. The BZ App is publicly available. You don’t need a business smartphone or intranet access to use it.
Does the app show the same news that I can find on BZ Online?
Partly. It features stories about new products and locations, important events such as the annual press conference, and trade fairs like CES or IAA. Information that is only meant for internal use can only be found on BZ Online. Why? The BZ App can be used by anyone, even if he or she is no Bosch associate.
Why is the app publicly available?
In order to reach as many associates worldwide as possible. Not everyone has a business smartphone or an intranet user account. Especially those colleagues without BGN access will now learn much quicker about what is happening across the company.
Can I choose which news I want to see?
Yes, similarly to BZ Online. You can select a language, division, region, and location. Articles from these areas will then be preferred when compiling the top ten news for the BZ App home page. Important global corporate news will always be shown regardless of your settings.
Why can’t I see news from my unit, region, or location even though I have selected them?
The BZ App is being maintained by a global network of editors. At the beginning, articles are not yet available across all sections, but further content will be added step by step.
Why can’t I select my unit or location?
At the moment, some units and locations do not yet enter content to the app. This is why the app currently only features units, regions, and locations that have already published articles on BZ Online in the recent past.
Is the app available in my language?
The user interface is available in eleven languages (Chinese, Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish). Just like on BZ Online, news articles are mainly available in English and German, for some regions also in other languages.
Will there be future versions?
Yes. The app will become more colorful; more images will be added. New features like push messages are also planned. You will be notified about any updates on BZ Online and in the app itself.
Who can I contact in case of technical issues, further questions, and suggestions for improvements?
Please send an e-mail with the subject “BZ App” to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will there be a Windows Phone version?
No, this is currently not planned
